Since opening in 2015, this has been a favourite among the the fashionable set and it’s no wonder seeing as Ob-La-Di is located in the Marais district which is one of the trendiest areas in Paris. The place is small but perfectly formed so we recommend getting there early to make sure you can grab a table. Their peanut butter and berry toast is a particular highlight. Oh and the coffee is amazing too!

It’s pretty obvious from the name what they serve here. And it’s some of the best bread in the capital too! Paris native Alice Quillet has been serving baked goods to hungry locals for a few years now and the place has gone from strength to strength. They have a special weekend breakfast and brunch menu and on weekdays you can choose from dozens of pastries and sandwiches.

We are obsessed with Season Paris. It feels like you could be in a health-conscious LA enclave in the heart of Paris. Try one of their açaï bowls or go for an avocado tartine. And wash it all down with one of their cold pressed juices. The holier-than-thou way to start your day.

New Mexico-born chef, Justin Kent has bought a hint of his hometown to this newly opened coffeeshop and cafe. Think breakfast burritos, pulled pork and baked eggs. If that all sounds a bit heavy though there are plenty of healthier options including granola and porridge. It’s got a reputation for its nitro cold brew too so be sure to have one of those to kick start your morning.

This place has a reputation for serving the best brunch in Paris and their breakfast menu is just as impressive. They’re often name checked for starting the breakfast and brunch revolution in Paris, convincing locals that breakfast isn’t just for croissants but also for eggs, hash browns, bacon and everything else.

Maison Plisson will give you two quintessential Parisian experiences in one - it’s a local produce market selling fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a cafe and restaurant serving a small number of dishes using the organic produce next door. You’ll find a nice selection of tartines and sandwiches to build up your energy for the day.

If you’re from the UK then you might be craving a decent bacon butty and Frenchie To Go is the place to find one. There are only 15 seats at Frenchie To Go but the whole point is that you eat quickly. It’s the little sister restaurant to Frenchie which has a reputation as being impossible to get in to so this is a great place to try out Gregory Marchand’s food without having to book months in advance. All the bacon sandwiches are served on English muffins and you can add eggs and cheddar.
