When you're in a city like Paris, it's pretty easy to spend a great day here. With so many sights to see, food to eat, and secret corners to explore, one day probably isn't enough for a true-blue Parisian adventure. But what if you only have one free day in Paris? Perhaps you're going to a different place the next day or you only have this one free day off work. What will you do then? Well, there are some things you simply can't not do in the French capital. And they can easily fit a day, no problem!
Skip the Famous Tourist Spots
The Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe,
the Louvre,
Champs Elysées—these are just a few of the world-famous tourist spots Paris is known for. And normally, you'll see hordes of people in these parts of the city. So why endure crowds when you only have a day in Paris? If it's not your first time in Paris, or you can visit the city again someday, or if you even live here, skip the usual tourist attractions and go
somewhere underrated in Paris. There are the colorful houses along Rue Crémieux, the architectural museum Maison de l’Architecture, and more!

Have a Picnic in a Park
If there are a few things Paris is famous for apart from the iconic landmarks, they're its parks. The French capital has its fair share of botanical bliss by way of extremely beautiful parks and gardens. Jardin de Luxembourg, the Tuileries Garden, Parc Monceau, and more! And you know what's so great about them? They're the perfect places for a picnic! For lunch—or more relative to Parisians, brunch—skip the café for a bit and have your own picnic in any of these stunning places. Just buy some
classic French pastries in the nearby patisserie and you're good to go!

Get Painted By A Street Artist
There's nothing more novel of a souvenir to get in Paris than having been painted or drawn by a street artist. Sure, you can
snatch up a box of macarons or get
French designer clothing in the city, but you can just as easily purchase them online too! But actually getting yourself drawn by a random artist in Paris is one you'll only get by actually visiting the French capital yourself. Now, this isn't to say that these artists will depict you in the most flattering way, but still! It's a souvenir you absolutely won't get anywhere else!

Go to A Café
If you went to Paris and you didn't
enjoy a cup of coffee in a café, did you really go to Paris? Many would say you didn't, and you know what, they'd probably be right! Spending time in a café is what all—not most, all!—people do in the French capital. There's practically one on every corner. There's no reason you shouldn't go into one unless you're allergic to either coffee, sweets, or both! And no matter how often you do it or how many cafés you've gone into, it never gets old! It's simply a way of life in Paris!

Dine In a Brasserie
Even more so than going to cafés, you shouldn't miss dining in a brasserie either! There's practically no other city that has them other than Paris! The French equivalent to a brewery, these establishments are known to only serve one meal and provide a more relaxed setting. Though they don't pull back on the elegance and fine cuisines either! A brasserie is the best place to have a quick dinner, especially if you need to go somewhere else. And such places are as important and unique to Paris as its many cafés.

Go To A Cabaret
While you're already in Paris, don't miss out on
going to a cabaret show. Paris is one of the few European cities in which these types of shows are still the norm. And they're so many out there you could go to, that just picking one for a night is difficult! Do you go to the iconic
Moulin Rouge, perhaps? Or to the more glamorous
Folies Bergère? Or how about the sexy Paradis Latin cabaret in the Latin Quater? Whichever you go to, you'll have an amazing time. An exotic, erotic, yet also elegant experience that's fun, fashionable, and a little bit flirty!

End Your Day With Some Wine
Finally, there's no better way to end your day in Paris than with a glass of wine. As compared to other countries, where drinking wine is reserved for special occasions, here in France, it's part of their everyday routine. In fact, wine is the most common beverage to drink with every meal, even more so than water, juice, or soda. For adults, anyway! And there's no end to the wine bars you can go to for a nice red! Or, in fact, the restaurant or brasserie you chose to dine in might already have their own fine selection!
