If there's one season Londoners had to pick as the best time to spend time in the city, it'd be spring. For a place that's often cold and dreary, the moment that spring sunshine comes, it's as if the entire British capital had been awakened. Suddenly, the flowers have bloomed, the air smells sweeter, the breezes are fresh, and though it can still be chilly at times, you wouldn't need a lot of layers to survive outside. Truly, it's like London transforms every springtime, becoming a more pleasant city than it used to be during winter. And here are five reasons why.
London Starts To Get Warm
As already mentioned, springtime makes a warmer season here in London. If you plan on
moving to this city, you ought to know that the normal climate here is rather cold. Though
winter in London may seem magical in its own way, the temperature sure isn't! And
as stylish as you can dress for this season, there's really no denying that the cold can get a bit too much at times. But when it's spring? The temperature is just right! It's not too cold nor is it too hot. Just like baby bear's things in 'Goldilocks and The Three Bears' story, everything is just right!

Time To Go Outside
With that said, it's time to go outside. Once you've experienced a snow-covered London, seeing the many
districts in the city all in full-bloom would be a welcomed sight. Furthermore, there will be a ton of activities and events outside. Every Holy Weekend, for instance, Trafalgar Square becomes the stage for 'The Passion of Jesus,' a reenactment of Christ's journey the cross. Every April 13, on the other hand, one of the
UK's most important holidays, St. George's Day, has everybody parting and having a gay old time on the streets! What's not to love?

The City Stays Up Late
Since the UK is in the Northern Hemisphere, this means that spring brings about longer days than the rest of the year. And you know what that means, right? It means you have more time to have fun and enjoy life here in the British capital. Throughout all the districts of London, most, if not all establishments stay open. These include museums,
galleries,
restaurants,
bars,/a>, nightclubs, gyms, and more! Granted many places already stayed open later than normal here in this bustling metropolis, the fact that most of the city stays awake for longer this season makes it seem like just about everybody is having a good time 'after dark.'

Everything is Cheaper This Season
Here come the Spring sales! Since a new season has sprung (pun intended!) here in London, this means that there'd be a lot more sales to look forward to in the city. Go to any
designer outlet store and you'll find that most of their luxury items are offered at discount, which is relatively rare!
British high street brands are introducing new promos where you can buy their affordable pieces at even lower prices. Even
online luxury retailers are holding their own online sales to keep the retail craze going! Wouldn't you want to join in on the fun too?

Beer Starts To Take Over
At this time of the year, it's time to say goodbye to old-fashioned
London cocktails and say hello to good ol' beer! That's right! Every spring, beer dominates the pubs, bars, and more in the British capital. And it's not just that they serve it on mugs like your old-time pub. Some even craft their own beer-induced cocktails for a different taste! Since it's the season for lightness and fun, of course, many in the city would prefer this relatively lighter alcoholic beverage. But take note, not all beers are light! Some, especially the cocktails, will knock you out cold from just a few sips. Well, depends on your tolerance level that is!
