Visit The Rummu Quarry
During most of the 20th-century, Estonia was part of the Soviet Union. it didn't gain independence until 1991, only 30 years ago. And while that time is undoubtedly one of the country's darkest pasts, it has left behind various relics that you can't help but be fascinated by. One such is the Rummu quarry made out of the labor of prisoners during that time. Nowadays, it's become one of the main tourist attractions near Tallinn, even going so far as being a summer hotspot since you can swim by the lake.
