A string of classic countryside Italian towns perched on the hills and standing by coasts of the Italian Riviera. If this doesn't sound like the perfect honeymoon destination, then what is? Over the years, as Cinque Terre gains more popularity among tourists, the place is also becoming more and more of a romantic hotspot. Some may even argue tha the entire destination is full of romance, what with the old-world charm of the cities, the natural beauty of the coasts, and the like. And in this heavenly paradise, there are those notable places that will really set the mood. Here are a handful of them.
Via Dell’ Amore
How do you ensure that your love lasts forever? Lock it town in Cinque Terre! Though, in this instance, it doesn't pertain to getting married here. Although a wedding in Cinque Terre would be the ultimate dream, the 'lock' in question here pertains to a padlock. Via dell’Amore, the pathway that links the
Cinque Terre towns of Manarola and Riomaggiore, is lined with padlocks by the railing and the cables all throughout. They've served reminders of the many couples, both past & present, that have walked this same path over the years. It's very much like the famous Pont des Arts in Paris.

Corniglia Vineyards
When in Italy,
drinking wine is a must! Not only do they
go well with everything, but going on a wine tour is another great date idea for you and your partner. Fortunately, in the beautiful town of Corniglia, there are vineyards where you can do just that. What's so unique here is that these vineyards are strategically placed along Liguria's mountainous region. Though this means you'll need the right stamina to hike up these vineyards, it will still feel romantic nonetheless. Especially once you taste the finest reds and the lightest white bottles this place has to offer!

Riomaggiore Coast
Truth be told, as far as the best beaches in Cinque Terre are concerned, the Riomaggiore coasts are probably far from the top of everyone's lists. They're mostly rocky shorelines with little to no sand, of course, those who expect that signature Mediterranean white sandy paradise would be disappointed. But be that as it may, no one can deny that spending the day here, especially the late afternoon as you watch the sunset, is definitely romantic. It helps that most of the coastlines of this town are largely remote, giving you and your significant other enough peace and quiet to get into the mood.

Scoglio di Monterosso
The famous rock on Monterosso Beach, Scoglio di Monterosso, is a romantic spot in Cinque Terre unlike any other. Just how romantic it is will, however, depend on how crowded the beach is. If, for some miracle, only you and your partner are left on this beach, spending time with each other on top of Scoglio di Monterosso will definitely make for some more romantic couple time! If there are no pairs of eyes within a hundred-mile radius, who knows what you and your lover can get up to while you're here? And, of course, the cherry on top would be watching the sunset atop this iconic rock!
