Paris isn't really all that back to normal yet. Although the country has reopened after two national lockdowns due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the French capital doesn't have that same old
joie de vivre just yet! However, this doesn't mean things are dead in the city either. On the contrary, this coming August 2021, there's a lot to look forward to in Paris. As part of livening things up after the worst pandemic in recent history, a couple of events will take place next month. If you'll be here in Paris by that time, you might want to check them out!
'
An ode to motor racing.' This is what best describes the annual Tour Auto Optic 2000. Since 1992, Paris has hosted this race of vintage cars and classic automobiles every year, allowing a parade of novel vehicles to zoom through the French capital. Of course, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event had to be pushed back from its usual spot in April to the first week of September. So starting August 30 until September 4, 2021, expect to see a lot of vintage cars to race around town. It'd be quite the sight to see, that's for sure!

La Fête au Bois de Boulogne (Starts on September 3)
In the early days of September, right before school resumes, the kids of Paris rush to the Bois de Boulogne, one of the
most beautiful parks in the city, to catch
La Fête au Bois de Boulogne. This annual fair is usually the last bit of fun the little ones have before their summer vacation ends. And boy is it exciting! The stunning parks become even livelier with carnival rides, fun games, colorful entertainment, and food stalls. Think swing carousels that let you feel like you're flying up in the air. Or mini-roller coasters that give you a rush of adrenaline!

Although it's already September, it's not exactly the autumn season yet! Here in Paris, the sun still shines just as intensely as it did during the peak of summer, providing warmth as the air begins to cool down. Now, doesn't this all sound like the perfect weather to go running? Enter Harmonie Mutuelle Semi de Paris! Though it's not as famous as the Paris Marathon, it's just as exciting! This year, on September 5, join a legion of runners and zoom through the various
districts of Paris in this year's marathon. At the end of the day, you're guaranteed to feel fitter and happier!

European Heritage Day (September 18 - 19)
It's no secret that Paris is home to a lot of cultural attractions. From various museums to iconic monuments, the entire city is practically one huge
UNESCO Heritage Site! And this is highlighted every third weekend of September on European Heritage Day. It's a special
holiday in France (and the rest of Europe) that's all about embracing the French heritage and all the history that comes with it. So this year, from September 18 to 19, 2021, many of
the city's most famous museums and monuments will be free of charge. It'd be a great weekend to be a tourist in the French capital!

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2022 - Women (Starts on September 27)
A big reason why Paris is named one of, if not the 'fashion capital of the world' is Fashion Week. For four times a year, the French capital welcomes the world to take part in a series of shows and presentations that display the future of fashion. This coming September, starting September 27, 2021, the women's spring 2022 Paris Fashion Week will start.
