Each and every Greek island is a treasure trove of beautiful coastlines. You probably assume that the only worthwhile islands to travel to in this country are the popular ones: Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, and the like. And while they are definitely top tourist destinations that live up to their reputations, there are also those lesser-known islands that offer the same sort of natural beauty. Hydra is a perfect example. This island's coastlines are scenes you won't find anywhere else. They're beautiful, idyllic, serene, and will take your breath away in an instant! Most especially these notable beaches.
Avlaki Beach
The stunning gradience of light teal to soft aqua to a deep ocean blue is what you'll probably notice first when you get to Avlaki Beach. Located on the eastern coast of the island, what this beach lacks in size, it makes up for in natural beauty. The faded blue tones look almost as if this was the palette of a famous Italian painter from the Renaissance period. That's how beautiful the waters are on this coast. And the tiny port right before the pebbly shoreline? A great place to watch the sunset on a calm and serene day!

Bisti Beach
Although Bisti Beach is a little cove off the western coast of Hydra, it's actually one of the most popular beaches on the island. Why, you ask? Because it's the go-to spot for scuba-divers who want to go as deep as they can in the Aegean Sea. The pebbly shoreline doesn't make it a popular place for those who want to sunbathe and get a tan, but the calm and deep waters make for a great area for scuba-diving. Not to mention other water sports like windsurfing and kayaking. Compared to the famous Santa Maria
beach in Paros, another Greek island, Bisti Beach offers a more serene and quiet arena for some water-filled fun!

Kaminia Beach
Since it's only a kilometer away from Hydra Town, the island's capital and one of the
central towns here, Kaminia Beach is among the popular coastlines in Hydra. But it isn't just because it's easy to get to. There are two main reasons why Kaminia Beach is one of the finest on the island. One is, of course, its scenic beauty, particularly the clash between the rustic neutral tones on the shoreline with the deep blue hues of the Aegean Sea. And the other is that the beach is also lined with taverns and pubs that serve great seafood and Greek wine. What's not to love?

Mandraki Beach
On the other side of Hydra Town, a good two kilometers away, there's Mandraki Beach. It's not far-fetched to say that this coastline is probably the most popular of them all and it's because of one big reason: it's sandy! As beautiful of an island as Hydra is, the beaches here are, unfortunately, mostly pebbly and rocky. They're still beautiful nonetheless but these sorts of shorelines don't necessarily attract that many tourists. Mandraki Beach, however, is one of very few that has soft white sand that's perfect to lie on. This is the sort of paradise you'd expect from a Greek island!

Molos Beach
Whether you go here via sea taxi or ferry, Molos Beach is actually
easy to get to compared to the other Hydra coastlines on this list. And it's also among the most popular! Just like Madraki Beach, Molos Beach is quite soft and sandy, allowing many locals and tourists to relax and enjoy a sunny day on its shoreline. While it's not as sandy as the former, it's good enough compared to the other pebbled coastlines on the island. But what really draws people to Molos Beach is that it's among Hydra's most peaceful beaches. Even amidst a ton of beach-goers, you can still snag a spot where you can relax in peace.

Spilia Beach
Although it's commonly referred to as 'Spilia Beach,' this place isn't technically a beach by usual standards. In fact, technically speaking, there isn't even a shoreline to begin with. The low cliff and high rocks mostly serve as 'diving boards' for those who want to jump off to the Aegean Sea. There is a promenade area where people can relax, sunbathe, and dry off though, but for the most part, Spilia Beach is simply a coastline through and through. And that's what makes it so beautiful. '
Becoming one with the sea' has a whole new meaning in this hotspot!

Vlychos Beach
Located on the west of Hydra Town, Vlychos Beach is regarded as the finest on the island despite how pebbly it is. If you want to swim and splash around here, you'll need to wear aqua shoes to ensure that you won't end the day with wounded feet. And yet, the coastline is so popular that the famous
Four Seasons Hotel chose to set up shop in this part of Hydra. Just what exactly makes Vlychos Beach so popular? The clear water? Despite the pebbly shoreline, you won't want waters as clear as these anywhere else on the island.

As you might expect in Hydra, the coastlines here are absolutely stunning. Each is more breathtaking than the next! If you ever come here, don't miss checking out these incredible beaches. You won't forget them once you see them in real life!
The only downside to these stunning coasts is that they're not near any
luxury home you can get in Hydra.
