Eiffel Tower Christmas Village (December 1 -January 2, 2022)

Although many Christmas markets throughout France and Paris have already begun this November, one of, if not the most hotly-anticipated of them all is the Eiffel Tower Christmas Village, which will begin on December 1, 2021. Located on the beautiful Parisian park, Champ de Mars, visitors can indulge in street food, shop for cute trinkets, and even do some last-minute Christmas shopping here. The market itself will look like a mini Christmas town, with stalls set up as cottages, hence the market's name. And out of all of what the Eiffel Tower Christmas Village has to offer, the fascinating delicacies from other countries are always a big winner!

Pop-Up Christmas Markets (Start December 1)

Speaking of Christmas markets, apart from the famous Eiffel Tower Christmas Village, there will be a ton of others that will operate all throughout the month of December. Some of them will be short-term pop-ups that will only open on certain dates. Ones like the Mother Nature Christmas Market (December 4 - 5, 2021), Shizen le Village de Noel Japonais (December 11 - 12, 2021), and the Visual & Musical Creations Market (December 18 - 19, 2021) are must-visits! They offer unique items, delicious foreign delicacies, and all sorts of knick-knacks that you won't find anywhere else. Christmas Concerts in Paris Churches (All Throughout December)

Good music won't just fill the music halls and theaters in Paris! According to Paris Discovery Guide, the city's beautiful churches will host a ton of Christmas concerts left and right this upcoming December too! A good example is the monumental L'église de la Madeleine (also known as the Madeleine Church) in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. Throughout the month, this stunning place of worship will be filled with Christmas carols, classical music, and the like for all the world to hear. The stunningly Gothic Sainte-Chapelle in Île de la Cité district will also host its own series of holiday concerts, starting From December 19 to 30 (except on Christmas Day, December 25), 2021.

Opera & Ballet Performances (December 24 to 25)

Do you remember that Paris is actually an art capital? Well, that doesn't just apply to the city's famous museum and underground street art scene. This also pertains to the performing arts and every December, right at the peak of the holiday season, Paris is the place to be! Many of the city's most famous theaters, such as the iconic Palais Garnier and Opéra Bastille, offer special shows this December. In the former, Russian ballet reigns supreme on Christmas weekend as the 'Nijinski, Eyal & Ashton' performances are set for December 24 to 25, 2021. On the same dates, the Paris Opera Ballet is set to perform 'Don Quixote' in Opéra Bastille.

New Year's Eve Concerts (December 31)

Finally, on December 31, 2021, right before the start of the new year, Paris will once again be filled with music! All throughout the city, in its many neighborhoods and districts, various places will host their own New Year's Eve concerts to help welcome 2022. The most notable is the grand churches of Paris. The likes of Sainte Chapelle, Saint Séverin Church, Saint-Germain-des-Prés Church, Saint Julien-le-Pauvre Church, and more each have their own orchestral concert to offer.
