December 19, 2021
2021-12-19
Dubai's New Year's Eve fireworks are truly something else. Spectacular doesn't even begin to describe them! It's as if you're watching fantasy unfold, almost unreal with its vivid brightness and extravagant splendor. And when they go off when the clock strikes twelve, you feel even more energetic to start the new year fresh and anew. But before all that, where do you watch these amazing fireworks in Dubai? Seeing them on TV is all well and good, but of the course, watching them in person (or at least near enough that you can still see the shape of the fireworks) is worth experiencing too! Especially in these five top hotspots.

Top Five Places To Watch New Year's Eve Fireworks in Dubai

UPDATE: Due to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, many of the events listed in this article have been canceled. Please be advised.

Downtown Dubai

Downtown Dubai, one of the busiest districts in the city, is where the famous Burj Khalifa building is located. Not only is it the tallest structure in the world, but every New Year's Eve, its fireworks display is something else. It's not just they shoot up at the sky in the background, but when the clock strikes twelve, Burj Khalifa practically turns into a towering inferno of sparks and colors. Of course, if you're in the Burj Khalifa course, you won't get to see this majestic show unfold. But if you're in any of the hotspots in Downtown Dubai, you get a front-row seat to all the magic.

Madinat Jumeirah

Another famous building in Dubai that's also known for its incredible fireworks displays in its background is Burj Al Arab. since it's located by Jumeirah Beach, its open-air environment is the perfect canvas for fireworks to paint the black New Year's Eve sky. However, just like with the Burj Khalifa, if you're inside Burj Al Arab yourself, you won't get to see the fireworks display in all its splendor. But if you're in the Madinat Jumeirah hotel instead, which is near the famous building, you can see the bright lights and loud sparks in all their glory!

Atlantis The Palm

Now, this one is a little tricky. Since the famous Atlantis, The Palm is practically located on its own peninsula, it's gonna be tough to find a nearby spot to watch its spectacular New Year's Eve fireworks display. This means you'll have to book a room inside the resort and pick a strategic spot where you can watch every single sparkler go off in the sky. It'll likely cost you a pretty penny—possibly even more so than most of your living expenses in the city—but when you see just how amazing the fireworks are, you'll know that every penny you spent was worth it!

The Beach at JBR

Just like the previously mentioned Burj Al Arab, some of the best places in Dubai—or in any coastal city for that matter—to watch New Year's Eve fireworks displays are on or by the beach. Since there are fewer skyscrapers and bright buildings around, you'll see the fireworks more clearly and brighter than ever before. That's how it is in The Beach at JBR, at least. As you sit down on the soft sandy shoreline, you can gaze up at the stars and watch as they disappear the moment the fireworks go off. But the truly best part? You won't have to pay anything to enjoy the view!

Ain Dubai

Also near the coast is the city's famous Ain Dubai 250-meter high observation wheel. When you're at the peak, you can practically see the beloved Dubai skyline in all its glory. And on New Year's Eve, there's no other place where you can get close to the fireworks than at the top! Imagine seeing them go off when you're around the same level. That'll be an amazing view you will never forget! Not only that, but one cabin, which can carry up to 15 people in total, also comes with dinner, live music, and more! What's not to love?

Choosing where to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks in Dubai might just be the most challenging problem you'll face during the holiday season in the city. There are so many great places to choose from, you just don't know which one's the best!

Hopefully, your luxury home in Dubai will give you a front-row seat to the city's spectacular New Year's Eve fireworks show!
