Truthfully speaking, Koh Samui is a goldmine of Instagram-worthy spots. From the stunning beaches to the gorgeous temples, posting about your trip to the resort island will be a breeze. Your profile will certainly look tropical before your stay here is through! However, if you're itching to post something unique, something fascinating, and one that will certainly grab attention, snapshots of shorelines and songthaews might not do anymore! You'll have to go above and beyond for a true one-of-a-kind Instagram post of Koh Samui. Luckily, there are a few places that will give you just that!
Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks
It's not every day you come across fascinating rock formations that are shaped oddly like some parts of your body. But that's what makes the famous (or rather infamous) Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks on Lamai Beach such an attraction. If you look closely, these two rocks look like male and female genitalia. The male one is Ta (grandpa) and the female one is Yai (grandma). Now, why are they named after grandparents and not even parents, you ask? The legend says that the rock formations are the reincarnations of an elderly couple whose boat got washed over by a storm when they were on their way to meet a prospective bride for their son. Quite tragic, no?

Wat Khunaram
Although you can find all sorts of big and giant Buddhas in the
temples of Bangkok and
Phuket, there's only one in Koh Samui that features an actual mummy! The preserved corpse of a monk encased in a glass altar in Wat Khunaram is probably the most unique, one-of-a-kind, and possibly most outrageous thing you'd see, not just on the island, but in all of Thailand. Your followers may not think much of it at first but when they read your caption saying that it's a mummy, expect a flood of likes and tons of comments to head your way!

Wat Ratchathammaram
Speaking of temples, most of them come in white, gold, a little bit of green, and the like, right? Their opulence stems from their gilded details, colorful decor, and more. But there is one in Koh Samui that stands out among the rest simply because it only has one color: red! Well, not necessarily crimson, per se, but it's an earthy red that's almost terracotta color. The entire temple is made out of clay and, apart from the golden Buddha at its center, you won't find another hue, shade, or tone here! And its natural color is actually quite vibrant that it might even grab more attention on your Instagram feed than most of the other places!

The Library
Sticking to the subject of red, amidst a sea of blues turquoise, white sands, luscious greeneries, and the like, anything red really will stand out, right? Something like, say, a red pool perhaps? The incredibly unique The Library hotel in Koh Samui has one huge feature that draws most people, especially Instagram-friendly travelers, to its doors. Its startingly red swimming pool is second to none, almost as it's filled with wine instead of water. Fortunately, the consistency of the liquid isn't so thought that it looks like a pool of blood. The transparent rouge glow, however, is ever so fascinating!

The Jungle Club
Among the many
foodie hotspots in Koh Samui, you probably never expected one that'd be literally atop a mountain, right? There are seaside restaurants, night markets, and even treetop establishments, but one that's practically perched on a mountain? Now that's an Instagram-worthy place worth visiting and posting about! The Jungle Club hotel may be known for its many bungalows, but it's the scenic deck that has people taking selfies left and right and sharing them on social media. The fine wooden flooring, the bright red bean bag chairs, and the blue and green scenery of the island make for an eye-catching post worth liking again and again!
