March 2022 is just around the corner and you know what that means! Spring is coming! Gone are the days where snow and cold spells will have you walking down the streets of Paris in multiple layers of clothing. By next month, you can shed all of those extra layers off, soak up the sunshine, and smell the newly-blossomed flowers. And with the new season comes a new calendar full of exciting events. If

Paris Fashion Week (February 8 - March 8)
Paris hosts two kinds of fashion weeks every year. There's
Haute Couture week, which is usually around January and July, and ready-to-wear fashion week, which is usually around March and October. The latter is what you can expect next month. From February 28 to March 8, 2022, the French capital will present its autumn/winter 2022 fashion week.
French designers and
luxury brands will show off their latest ready-to-wear lines for the next season, and with that comes new trends, new fads, and new style stars to discover. Not to mention parties, galas, forums, and more. It's one of the most important events in the global fashion industry.

Andrea Bocelli: Live in Paris (March 3)
Andrea Bocelli, known as the 'World's Best Tenor,' will take to the stage once again in Paris this upcoming March. He will perform live at the famous
AccorHotels Arena in the
12th arrondissement in Paris on March 6, 2022. Known for his operatic talents, the Italian singer will likely sing a series of his most popular hits, duets with other amazing artists, iconic arias, and more. It's even possible that he will invite both international and local artists to duet with them live on stage or via zoom. These sorts of surprises have always been part of his show-stopping performances.

Paris Half Marathon (March 6)
You've probably heard about the famous Paris Marathon, right? But what about the Paris Half Marathon? Known as '
Semi Marathon de Paris,' this will serve as a warm-up to the actual Paris Marathon set to take place in April 2022. Just as its name says, the race will only go for around 21.1 kilometers all over the
Paris neighborhoods, half of that of the real event which is approximately 42.195 km in total. Nevertheless, expect 40,000 runners to participate in the event, many of which will likely join the Paris Marathon later in April as well.

Sempre libera,' and more. And now, classical music lovers in Paris can watch this famous show all throughout March. Beginning on March 10, 2022, Opera à Palazzo is set to perform Verdi's 'La Traviata' all-month-long at Hotel Dosne-Thiers. The show is based on the
French classic novel, '
La Dame aux Camélias' by Alexandre Dumas, which is a tragic love story between a glamorous courtesan and the young bourgeois who falls in love with her.

IAMDDB - Live in Paris (March 19)
UK-based Anglona rapper, IAMDDB, will set the stage at Elysée Montmartre ablaze with her live concert on March 19, 2022. The rapper debuted in 2016 with her EP, 'Waeveybby, Vol. 1.' She then went on to release her first mixtape, 'Hoodrich,' in 2017, the record that shot the then-unknown artist to fame. Thanks to all the attention she was getting, she scored an opening act gig for American rapper Lauryn Hill's UK tour back in 2018. And since then, she has gotten more fans, released more EPs, mixtapes, and singles, and shot to fame.

Paris Martial Arts Festival (March 26)
On March 26, 2022, more than 300 athletes will take part in the Paris Martial Arts Festival, set to take place in Accorhotels Arena. As the biggest display of Martial Arts in the French capital, this event will include championship matches, displays, discussions, forums, and talks. It's set to be the biggest martial arts event in all of Paris, thereby becoming one of the first global events in the city held in 2022. You certainly won't want to miss this!
