77th Anniversary of The Liberation of Paris (August 25)
August 25, 2022 marks the 77th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris, a historic turning point in World War II. It was on this day that General Philip Leclerc and his French forces fought against the Nazis and eventually drove them out of the French capital. It was one of the first few signs of victory for the Allied Forces and one of the signals of the end of the war. The city of Paris plans to commemorate will all sorts of pomp and circumstance. There will be a flag-raising ceremony at the Eiffel Tower, a celebratory parade featuring vintage 1940s military vehicles, and more!
