The Magic of Christmas, Jardin des Tuileries

Christmas Market at the City Hall

Head to the space directly in front of the City Hall and you’ll discover a winter wonderland right in the heart of the city. La Défense Marché de Noël

On the esplanade at La Défense you’ll find the biggest Christmas market in Paris. With over 300 stalls and chalets you’ll be hard pushed to walk away empty handed. Located in the very modern business district, the wooden huts make a lovely contrast with the usual surroundings. There’s a bit of everything from tree decorations to jewellery for sale. Christmas Market at Les Halles

Even if you’re on holiday, there’s something magical about browsing Christmas trees in the run up to the 25th. And this is the place in Paris to do it. You’ll find Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes for sale here. You’ll also find a Santa’s grotto for the children and traditional Christmas market stalls selling everything you could want this season. Look out for the raceltte and fill up on melted cheese. It’s a bit smaller than the other markets with only about 25 chalets but they specialise in quality goods like jewellery and genuine leather accessories.
