It's admittedly pretty weird to spend most of your time in the mall during your trip. There's already a mall in your hometown right? You've probably spent a lot of time there as well. So why would you go to the mall in another part of the world during your travels? Well, the malls in your place are probably far from the malls in Dubai. To say that these malls are amazing is an understatement. Hotspots like The Dubai Mall, Mall of The Emirates, and the Dubai Marina Mall are something else. They take the retail experience to a whole new level!
The Dubai Mall
To say that The Dubai Mall, one of the biggest malls of Dubai and possibly even in the whole world, is exciting is an understatement. This is not your ordinary mall! For starters, you probably won't find any other mall that has a massive aquarium. The famous Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo lets you walk through various underwater ecosystems that house thousands of different species of sea creatures. It's quite the sight. As for the shopping here? It's as if you went to the most famous department stores in Paris. Miles upon miles of luxury labels and big-named brands await those who want to shop till they drop!

Mall of The Emirates
Located on Sheikh Zayed road, the Mall of The Emirates is another exciting hotspot in Dubai. For one thing, it houses many notable British department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Marks & Spencer, and Debenhams. But if you're more into high-fashion labels, you'll feel more at home in the mall's ultra-luxurious Fashion Dome. All the biggest brands are located here. But then, where's the excitement? The shopping is great and all, but does the Mall of The Emirates offer something more? Well, there's Ski Dubai, for one thing. It's one of the best
things to do in Dubai since you never would've expected to play winter sports in the Middle East!

Dubai Festival City Mall
Admittedly, the excitement here in the Dubai Festival City Mall, one of the most popular malls of Dubai, isn't in the mall itself. Make no mistake, this is still a shopaholic's dream what with over 250 stores on offer. There's even the cool Canal Walk, which lets you ride gondolas within the mall
as if you're in Venice. But if you truly want to get wowed, go outside and watch the awe-inspiring IMAGINE light, laser, and fountain show at night. It's an incredible light and water show that can make even the fireworks in Disneyland seem mundane!

Mercato Mall
Speaking of Venice, you'd definitely feel like you're back in the time of the Renaissance period in Italy here in Mercato Mall. The place is designed to look like that specific era, after all. In what looks like a giant shopping passage, the kind you'd see in Europe, this is where you'll get your fashion fix. From
French designer brands to contemporary labels that are more affordable, you'd have no problem emptying your wallet and draining your bank account here. But don't worry! At least you'll get to serve even more amazing lewks in the streets of Dubai afterward!

WAFI Mall
The majesty of WAFI Mall is truly indescribable! What looks like the old pyramids of Ancient Egypt is actually one of the best malls of Dubai! It's a retail mecca unlike any other, especially since it puts Arabian fashion at the forefront. Although the place still offers up famous Western fashion brands from Europe and the US, it's the more local designers who get to be front and center here. They even offer luxurious takes on Arab fashion staples and traditional garments such as well-tailored kandoras or embellished abayas. It might not be the mall for you if you're not Arab but you can still appreciate its stunning exterior just the same!

Ibn Battuta Mall
WAFI Mall isn't the only one that's designed to look like a worldly destination. There's also the Ibn Battuta Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road, the largest themed shopping mall in the entire city. Named after the historic Arab scholar and world explorer, the mall is divided into sections inspired by the many places he visited. There's a part that looks like Ancient China, for instance, complete with rendered in crimson and gold and looking as opulent as ever. There's also a part that feels like you're in Ancient Egypt, especially with the palm trees and hieroglyphics on the walls. Talk about a fest for the eyes!

City Centre Mirdif
Now, what about City Centre Mirdif? What makes this one of the most exciting malls of Dubai? Is it its collection of 430 retail stores? Perhaps. Is it the 12-lane bowling alley that's perfect for a day of family fun? Possibly. Or is it the awesome iFly, the indoor skydiving hotspot? Definitely! Truth be told, there's something for everyone in City Centre Mirdif mall. From fashion lovers to adrenaline junkies, you won't ever be bored here! Even if only have one day left to spend in the city, you can already do so much here!

Dubai Marina Mall
No list of exciting Dubai malls is complete without the Dubai Marina Mall! Located by the shimmering Dubai Marina, it's near a ton of exciting landmarks in the city. You can even see Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, from here. And though it doesn't exactly have an aquarium or a skydiving hotspot, it's still a great place to shop. Overall, however, this mall is mostly for when you want to relax and enjoy the breezes from the marina. Not all malls have to keep your heart pumping with excitement. Some, like the Dubai Marina Mall, are simply great places to hang out.

City Walk
Last but certainly not least, there's City Walk! This takes the final spot on this list of the most exciting malls of Dubai simply because it's technically not a mall at all. Nestled between two famous
neighborhoods of Dubai, Downtown Dubai & Jumeirah Beach, this place is more like a shopping district than a standard mall. It's designed to look like the popular streets of London such as Carnaby Street and Oxford Street. And the energy is just the same too! Every corner you turn to, there's a designer store or a chic boutique waiting for you.

The malls of Dubai are truly something else! You won't ever find malls that take you around the world in one place, has an aquarium as big as the sea and offers as much luxury as those in this incredible metropolis!
