If you'll be in Paris during the 2024 Summer Olympics, you'll probably be too busy focusing on the games, aren't you? Perhaps you're a big fan of the athletes participating? In any case, despite how preoccupied you are with the Olympics, don't forget that you're still in Paris. This is a city that millions of people dream of visiting, yet not a lot get a chance. While you're here, why not do the tourist activities too? Say, like drinking coffee in the many cafes in Paris? You'll love it when you check out hotspots like Café Le Carré Élysée, Café Lapérouse Concorde, Ladurée, Café du Trocadéro, and Café Odilon!
Café Le Carré Élysée
Located on Avenue Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Café Le Carré Élysée is one of the finest
cafes in the Champs-Élysées district. It's been the toast of Paris for more than a century now, having been the favorite of various influential figures throughout the years. And considering its location, the cafe is not too far off from various competition venues of the Paris Olympics. Whether you're coming from Place de la Concorde or the Grand Palais, you can easily get to Café Le Carré Élysée and enjoy its
haute cuisine. Think French dishes like escargot, French onion soup, and more.

Café Lapérouse Concorde
Speaking of Place de la Concorde, Café Lapérouse Concorde is only a hop and a skip away from it! As one of the in-house hotspots of
Hôtel de la Marine in the
8th arrondissement, it's an elegant and bright place where you can sip some great coffee and eat delicious French food while you enjoy the view of the famous plaza. You might even get to see some of the three-on-three basketball games and skateboarding action from here. Those are the sorts that the urban park on Place de la Concorde will host.

Ladurée
Ladurée on Avenue des
Champs-Élysées isn't like the other cafes in Paris. Firstly, it's more known as a patisserie than a coffee shop. It’s even the most famous place to get
macarons in Paris. Their pastel treats are beloved all over the world! Secondly, this place is technically a tea room, not a cafe. Though they still serve coffee, they mostly offer pastries, desserts, and tea. Nevertheless, Ladurée can be the perfect escape from all the hustle and bustle of the Paris Olympics. It's not too far from various competition venues but it's also a fair distance away from the hoopla!

Café du Trocadéro
Café du Trocadéro is a cafe that offers one of the
best views of the Eiffel Tower. You'd get to sit here and indulge in French cuisine as you look upon the iconic monument in all its glory. That alone should convince you to check it out when you're in the city. And of course, since the area
near the Eiffel Tower will host various games during the Paris Olympics, you barely have to travel far when you want to relax and enjoy refreshments in between competitions. Just make sure to reserve a table well in advance!

Café Odilon
And finally, there's Café Odilon on Quai de la Marne. Truth be told, this hotspot isn't exactly near the competition venues of the Paris Olympics. At least, when compared to the other cafes in Paris mentioned on this list. And during the sporting event, this place will likely operate more as a sports bar that plays games than a regular cafe. It's always full of cheering fans, families on outings, and more. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it's the best place to visit when you still want to watch the games but couldn't score tickets to the actual venues.
