When you get to Genoa, one of the biggest cities on the Italian Riviera, the first thing that'll pop out is how bustling it is. You'd sooner think you were in Rome or Florence, not along the coast of southern Italy. And you definitely can't imagine that there's be a peaceful beach somewhere here, right? Well, there are many! One of them is San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte. Named after the abbey located near the shore, this beach is perhaps the worst-kept secret of the Italian Riviera. Its location is fairly hidden and the coast itself isn't so big. Yet many people still go here and enjoy a fun day under the sun!

Let's set the scene on Baia dei Saraceni. You're on a white sandy shoreline where the only noise you hear is the roaring waves. The sun is shining brightly down on you as you take a swim or enjoy a stroll along the scenic coast. Portofino is best known as a luxury haven on the Italian Riviera. With its high-class shopping districts and fancy boutiques, you'd sooner think that this was part of the French Riviera, not the Italian one. And in such a bustling town full of gloss and glamour, surely there's a beach worth spending time on, right? Enter Paraggi Beach! A small gem by the beautiful bay, it's slightly off the beaten path in Portofino. But that's what makes this coast worthwhile! You have to exert some extra effort to get here but the reward is more than worth it!
