Sicily is the perfect place for any couple who wants to revel in their own romance. From the beautiful beaches to the charming towns, every part of this island screams romantic. And it helps that there are many things couples can do in Sicily to really strengthen their bond. They can explore the countryside towns, for example, which is pretty exciting. Going to a remote island, on the other hand, is for couples who just want to relax in this Mediterranean paradise. And visiting Bar Vitelli is something all couples should do at least once in Sicily. All of these prove that there's nothing quite like the romance of this island.
Escape To A Remote Island
Forget
Sicily's beautiful beaches! Or at least, the ones on mainland Sicily. If you and your partner can escape to a remote island, why not go there? Don't forget that Sicily is the biggest island in the Mediterranean. And on this vast piece of land are towns and communes, each more lively than the next. They're beautiful, sure, but not necessarily suitable for a couple who prefers to spend their quality time in peace. Fortunately, there are still many smaller and largely untouched islands off the coast of Sicily. They're wonderful escapes for when you just want each other's company and nothing else!

Go Hiking at Sunrise
Truth be told, hiking isn't necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when talking about the most romantic things to do in Sicily or just about anywhere. It's a great activity to do on the island, sure! There are many mountains, hills, cliffs, and more worth exploring in Sicily. But romantic? Well, why not? If you do it early in the morning and reach the peak to watch the sunrise, you're to get all the feels all over again! Not only will you fall deeper in love with each other, but you'll definitely fall in love with Sicily even more too!

You can't claim to be a cinephile if you've never heard of Bar Vitelli! Located in the beautiful countryside town of Savoca in Sicily, it's not far-fetched to say that this is the most famous hotspot on the island. After all, this is the exact place where “The Godfather” was shot decades ago! In the Academy Award-winning film, Michael Corleone (played by Al Pacino) falls in love with Apollonia (played by Simonetta Stefanelli), a local girl. He then asks for her hand in marriage and meets up with her father in this very bar. The place itself still looks like it did in the 1972 classic!
