You really need to get into the Spanish cinema! It has some of the sexiest films you'll ever get to see. Ironically enough, Spain is among the most devout Roman Catholic countries out there. But over the years, their views on sex and romance have become so liberated, it's almost as if they've turned into a different country altogether. You can see it in films like “Sex, Party, and Lies” (2009), “I Want You” (2012), and “Café Solo o con Ellas” (2007). More than just the fact that these are excellent cinematic works in their own right, they're also among the sexiest Spanish movies ever made.
The Maidens' Conspiracy (2006)
A historical adventure film hardly sounds sexy, doesn't it? Epic, sure, but erotic? Well, leave it to Spanish director Vicente Aranda to turn what would normally be a costume drama into one of the hottest movies of 2006. “Tirant lo Blanc,” better known by its English title, “The Maidens' Conspiracy,” is the film adaptation of a 15th-century story written by a Valencian knight. It's a romance that stars the titular Tirant (played by Casper Zafer), a Byzantine knight who has made it his mission to be the first to have intimate relations with the empire's princess, Carmesina (played by Esther Nubiola). You can just tell how heated things get just by this summary alone!

Lolita's Club (2007)
Following “The Maiden's Conspiracy” from 2006, Vicente Aranda released another sexy Spanish film, “Lolita's Club” in 2007. This time, it's set in the current time and tells the story of twin brothers, Raúl & Valentin (both played by Eduardo Noriega). Raúl is a violent policeman who is hunted down by members of a prostitution gang. As he travels from Pontevedra to Alicante, his hometown, he reunited with his family, especially Valentin, the only one who's happy to see him. Upon their reunion, Raúl then discovers that Valentin, who has mental disabilities, works in a hostess club and has fallen in love with Milena, one of the establishment’s beautiful employees. Passion, drama, and romance then ensue.

Café Solo o con Ellas (2007)
What happens when four girl-crazy friends team up and share their plans on sleeping with the most beautiful Spanish girls around? Drama, romance, sex, and a whole lot of comedy! This is what “Café Solo o con Ellas” is all about! It's a hilarious 2007 rom-com film directed and written by Álvaro Díaz Lorenzo. In a way, the movie has everything. The bromance appeal and wild comedy a'la “Hangover” (2009), the sexual liberty a'la “American Pie” (1999), and the awesome setting of Spain. What more could anyone ask for?

Sex, Party, and Lies (2009)
Just by its name alone, you can already tell that “Sex, Party, and Lies” from 2009 was a sexy Spanish film. Even more so since its cast included the likes of Ana de Armas, Mario Casas, Yon González, Ana Polvorosa, and more. Directed by Alfonso Albacete and David Menkes, it's a coming-of-age comedy that tells the story of puberty-stricken teens and their sexual frustrations. In many ways, this movie is Spain's own answer to the popular teen movies Hollywood was making back in the late 90s and early 2000s. It's just that the Spanish are better at making everything sexier!

Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2010)
Speaking of Hollywood, this list just has to include “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” (2010)! Though it's technically an American film directed by Woody Allen, its setting in Barcelona and the scene-stealing performances of its Spanish actors, Javier Bardem & Penélope Cruz (who even won an Oscar for her role in the film), make it as Spanish of a film all the others on this list. The movie tells the story of Vicky (played by Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (played by Scarlet Johansson) who tour the beautiful Catalan capital and meets the sexy Juan Antonio Gonzalo (Bardem). At separate times, both girls get into steamy love affairs with both Gonzalo and his wife, María Elena (Cruz), but the latter's electric personality proves to be too much.

I Want You (2012)
Although 'I Want You' (2012) is a sequel to “Three Metres Above Heaven” from 2010, the former is evidently sexier than the latter. Perhaps it's because Mario Casas, who starred in both films, is a lot broodier and more mature this time around. After the events of the first movie, wherein he separated from his first love, Babi, and suffered the loss of his best friend, Pollo, H (Casas) returns to the city of Barcelona and meets Gin (played by Clara Lago). As both are bikers with their own troubled pasts and current issues, it didn't take long for their attraction to one another to take over!

Through My Window (2022)
And finally, there's “Through My Window” from 2022. Though fairly recent, this Spanish romantic drama has certainly left an impact. Directed by Marçal Forés, this teen flick stars Julio Peña as Ares and Clara Galle as Raquel, two youths who live next to each other. You'd think that this would be a 'Romeo & Juliet' kind of affair but it presents a more 'enemies to lovers' angle. And what better to start the leads' initial conflict than wifi? Fighting control over it led these two teens to affect each other's lives in a way that they probably never would've imagined!
