Spending autumn in
London is a dreamy delight. The British capital often gets a lot of flack because it's not exactly the sunniest place in the world. It's far from the paradises in the Mediterranean or even the winter wonderland in Scandinavia. The common stereotype about London is that it's a dreary city, despite how busy and bustling it is. But is it true? Not during autumn, it's not! The fall foliage gives this massive metropolis a charming orange glow, making it a dreamy and almost romantic destination. The best places to see them are either Hyde Park, Holland Park, Kynance Mews, and the Autumn House of Hampstead among many others!
Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the most famous park in London. In a way, it's the British capital's answer to
Central Park in New York, for example. Or Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. When you think of a park in London, Hyde Park will automatically come to mind. You should see it when it's autumn too! The trees that make the place so green and lush turn into such vibrant shades of marigold and crimson. The sight is nothing short of breathtaking! From the tallest trees to the leaves that have already fallen down, the entire park almost looks like a watercolor painting.

Regents Park
Regents Park is another great place to see the fall foliage in London. During spring and summer, its well-cut grass fields serve as the perfect picturesque venue for outdoor sports. But come autumn, the foliage presents a more serene spirit. So many trees turn such a bright orange hue, the entire park looks like it's on fire. And yet the view itself is heartwarming. It's as if the blazes of orange are just warming you up for a cozy autumn afternoon, not necessarily burning you to the ground. Sounds amazing, doesn't it?

Richmond Park
6.73 miles of open fields make up Richmond Park, another great green space in the British capital. Famous for the viral “Fenton!” video, the place is as idyllic as can be. Just like in the video, you can
walk your dog here, perhaps set up a nice picnic, and just enjoy a nice day outdoors. And even when the temperature drops in autumn, Richmond Park is still a suitable spot for a leisurely afternoon. You and the little ones can play amidst the beautiful fall foliage, gathering them up and jumping on them as if you don't have a care in the world!

Holland Park
Located in the Kensington
neighborhood in London, Holland Park refers to the 54-acre green space near the street of the same name. It's famous for its Kyoto Garden, a zen fixture complete with its own shrubbery and peaceful pond. And even when autumn arrives, the garden never loses its serenity. On the contrary, some find the place even more pleasant during this time of the year. The bursts of color may present quite a fantastical sight, but it doesn't take away from the garden's botanical bliss and gentle harmony. You almost couldn't believe that such a place exists in the ever-bustling British capital.

Victoria Tower Garden
There are two parts of the Victoria Tower Garden that offers the most beautiful fall foliage in London. Firstly, there's the lush open field right by Victoria Tower. Though it's a fairly small patch of grass compared to the massive parks in London, it's nevertheless beautiful in its own right. However, it's the second part, the row of trees that line the Thames River, that truly presents the perfect autumn scenery. As these trees change color in the season, the view almost looks cinematic. It's the perfect spot to start a love story in London!

Kynance Mews
No matter the time of year, Kynance Mews remains ever-beguiling. This mews street in the South Kensington district is known for its Instagram-worthy look. During springtime, the colorful blossoms freshen up the area, almost as if the street is a coloring book that a little child painted on. And in autumn, those same greeneries give an orange glow unlike any other! The crimson-leaved threshold is perhaps the most stunning sight of them all. You almost can't believe that nature could produce such a vibrant hue. But don't worry! The other fall foliage throughout the street is just as beautiful too!

St Dunstan-in-the-East
In between the Tower of London and London Bridge stands the ruins of St Dunstan-in-the-East, a former Church of England. Even though the site today is a far cry from its former glory, it's evident that the church was magnificent back in the day. But that doesn't mean it's not beautiful today too! If you go here when
autumn arrives in London, you'll see that St Dunstan-in-the-East is resplendent with such colorful fall foliage. Shades of marigold, ginger, and marmalade transform what would usually be a fairly scary spot into an idyllic dreamland. Have fun taking pictures here!

The Autumn House of Hampstead
Finally, there's the Autumn House of Hampstead. Its name alone already conjures up images of vibrant fall foliage as far as the eye can see. So does the actual place live up to your imagination? Many would agree! Though the Autumn House of Hampstead isn't exactly showered with orange-hued fallen leaves, the vines that decorate the home's facade definitely produce a unique sight. The entire house is practically covered in red leaves; a vision straight out of a classic English novel. If you ever chance upon this Hampstead home when you're in this part of the city, don't miss your chance to take a selfie with it!
