Condé Nast is best known as the global mass media company that publishes Vogue magazine, widely regarded as “the bible of fashion.” There hasn't been any other publication that could equal the influence and the authority that Vogue has held for years. So when the company behind it establishes a college at 30 Bedford Square, it makes sense that it's also one of the best fashion schools in London. The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design teaches students to be the best artists they can be. From journalist to photography and beyond, it almost serves as a training ground for future Vogue professionals.

History of Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design

The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design is perhaps the youngest of all the fashion schools in London. Nicholas Coleridge, Condé Nast Britain's Managing Director at the time, established the school in 2013. Though it hasn't been around for that long, it's become one of the go-to schools for anyone interested in pursuing a career in fashion. Condé Nast Publications' backing helps a lot. As the company behind the ultra-successful Vogue magazine, the school never fails to draw in students from the UK and abroad. And it's far from a typical fashion school too.

What Does The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design Look Like?

Located at 30 Bedford Square, the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design's campus is fairly small. it's practically a small apartment building, the kind you'd see in the more residential neighborhoods in London. You could easily confuse it as a rich man's penthouse instead of a school. The relatively limited space is further proof of where the school’s priorities lie—fashion media. Despite its name, the school doesn't teach fashion design. Don't expect to cut up and construct garments here. Instead, the school focuses on teaching about styling, writing, digital arts, and the like.

The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design Student Body

The Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design only accepts about 300 students per year, including those who have yet to graduate. Since the school's courses only span from a minimum of nine months to two years, there's enough room for both old and new enrollees. It's also worth noting that international students also make up that small student body. The college welcomes foreign students, going so far as to provide minimal assistance and a streamlined process for overseas applications. Especially since they have to move to London to go here. Their percentage, however, changes every school year.

Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design's Best Programs and Courses

Fashion media reigns supreme in the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design. Its most popular is the BA Honours in Fashion Communication & Industry Practice, the go-to course for young people who someday want to work in Vogue or similar publications.
