Ambrit International School was built as an answer to the growing international community in Rome. While the Italian capital is less global compared to the likes of London and Paris, there's no doubt that it's an international metropolis too. Lots of foreign youth move here, mostly with their families, and they don't speak a speck of Italian. Fortunately, the Ambrit International School can be their scholastic home. This educational institution specifically welcomes international students, providing them with a safe space to learn, grow, and develop at their own pace. Not to mention get high-quality education as well!

History of Ambrit International School

Ambrit International School opened its doors in 1996. Following the footsteps of other top international schools in Rome, it didn't take long for the institution to gain prominence. Over time, Ambrit International School became one of the go-to schools for young, foreign kids who have just moved to Rome. It helps that the school itself is devoted to fostering a welcoming community for all nationalities, resulting in a diverse student body aided by an equally diverse staff. Today, Ambrit International School welcomes students from over 50 countries around the world.

What is Ambrit International School's Campus Like?

Located on Via Filippo Tajani, the Ambrit International School is at the heart of Rome. It's fairly near many of Rome's central neighborhoods, but it's also not too close to the more touristy districts. The campus itself is not the biggest, but it has enough room for all the students and staff. There are big classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, a lovely library, and arguably the best part, ample outdoor areas. Since it's within the city center, it's almost surprising that Ambrit International School has tons of outdoor space amidst the crowded Italian capital.

The Ambrit International School Student Body

Ambrit International School welcomes about 420 enrollees per year, composed of both newly accepted applicants and returning students who have yet to graduate. Compared to other schools, especially local public schools, this student body is far smaller. To break it down even further, this student body is composed of around 49 preschool kids and about 362 primary school students. When it comes to international students, they make up about 40% of the student population, while 60% are local Italian enrollees.

What is Ambrit International School's Curriculum?

Ambrit International School takes pride in the fact that it's one of the very few schools in Rome that provide a full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum with PYP and MYP Programs. The educational institution focuses heavily on academics, highlighting subjects related to mathematics, science, and social studies, among many others. This, in turn, prepares the young students to reach greater scholastic heights, perhaps even get into the top universities in London or the Ivy League schools in the US. Nevertheless, the school also allows and encourages the kids to participate in extracurricular activities too, especially athletics and the arts.

As already mentioned, Ambrit International School is located on Via Filippo Tajani at the heart of Rome. Since it's not too far from the city's main districts, it's one of the better areas out there. It's still a fair distance away from the popular tourist attractions, but it's not so far that it's already considered the outskirts. For parents, it's a great place to stay with family. It's not too lively and touristy, but it's also not so rural that there's nothing close by. Furthermore, the area has many of the best luxury rentals in Rome. You won't have a hard time finding a home here too.
