Barcelona. doesn't get enough credit as a shopping destination. While many can argue that Paris, London, and even Milan have it beat, the Catalan capital still has a lot of luxury to spare too. Not only is it the most fashionable city in Spain, but it's well on its way to being a fashion capital too. Part of that is thanks to places like Passeig de Gràcia, Avinguda Diagonal, and El Corte, among many others. These are the best spots to go luxury shopping in Barcelona and get your hands on designer brands, high-end goodies, and more.
Avinguda Diagonal
Let's start with the Avinguda Diagonal, one of the longest and most popular avenues in the city. Stretching over 11 kilometers, it passes through many of
Barcelona's central neighborhoods, including Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and El Poblenou. It even passes near La Sagrada Família, the city's most famous church and arguably the most iconic spot in all of Barcelona. But perhaps what makes Avinguda Diagonal a must-see, especially for shopaholics, is that this massive avenue is lined with high-end stores. You'll see familiar names like Hermès, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, and more here, not to mention a handful of luxurious department stores too.

El Corte Inglés
If you're
moving to Barcelona and you intend to shop till you drop every chance you get, you should know about El Corte Inglés. This is the city's most beloved department store, serving as a treasure trove of designer brands and luxury labels. The retail behemoth has become so popular that it has opened various locations throughout the city, including great spots like Avinguda Diagonal, Plaza de Catalunya, and more. In these spaces, you can get your hands on the most covetable designer finds ever, including Gucci, Stella McCartney, Max Mara, Prada, Burberry, and more.

El Born
Beyond just fashionable streets and big department stores, Barcelona has a full-blown neighborhood where you can unleash your inner shopaholic—El Born. Known to the rest of the world as a trendy district filled with cool cafes, chic tapas bars, and home to the iconic Picasso Museum, the area is also filled to the brim with designer boutiques. Some of the biggest brands in the world have set up shop here, as well as local designer labels that you should know about. A good place to start is the high-end Santa Caterina Market, which now has designer boutiques including Miu Miu and Saint Laurent Paris.

Passeig de Gràcia
Much like Avinguda Diagonal, Passeig de Gràcia is another of Barcelona's major thoroughfares. This one-kilometer stretch of designer boutiques and luxury stores is a shopaholic's dream, so much so that if you are one, you'd do well to
rent a luxury apartment in Barcelona near here. You'll want to stay in a place lined with some of the biggest brands out there, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Loewe, Gucci, and more. You shouldn't miss the Mandarin Oriental Hotel too! The place has the Blanc Concept Store, Alexander Mcqueen, and Balenciaga, among many others.

Santa Eulalia
You'll find Santa Eulalia on Passeig de Gràcia, so if you're already shopping on this famous street, make sure to check this place out. While it's the store's only location in the city, it has gained enough prominence that it can practically rival the more famous El Corte Inglés, which has stores in other parts of Barcelona. In many ways, Santa Eulalia is more luxurious. It exudes a sense of exclusivity even when it's open to anyone who can afford to purchase the designer goods here. And speaking of designer goods, you'll find the biggest names here too. They include Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Zimmermann, and more.

La Comercial is far from commercial as far as its retail offerings go. While you'll still find a few familiar names here, this place is all about obscure brands you probably haven't heard of but should know about. From local designers to underrated labels, the store offers the best finds you won't see anywhere else. La Comercial also has different categories—menswear, womenswear, accessories, fragrances, and more. If you have tons of money to spare, you can spend the entire day shopping here and you'd still find tons of goodies that you'll still want to get your hands on!
