Miami. It's run by a non-profit charter management organization which allows all students, regardless of their background and financial status, to get proper education in the city. With its accessible nature, it didn't take long for the Mater International Academy to gain prominence among Miami locals and beyond. The Mater International Academy Student Body
While the Mater Academy organization has grown so big that it has opened 49 schools in Florida and Nevada and welcomes over 14,000 students throughout all of them, its Miami school remained standard. Some would even argue that it's small since it only welcomes a little over 200 students per year spread across the various grade levels. This student body also consists of both new enrollees and those returning who haven't graduated yet. To break this down even further, Mater International Academy is made up of around 52% female students and 48% male students.
What is Mater International Academy's Curriculum?
The Mater International Academy is pretty standard with its curriculum too. For one thing, the school follows the Florida State Standards (FSS) for its academics, namely reading, language arts, and mathematics. Since Florida is a diverse state itself, the school following the FSS makes it easier for non-English-speaking students to keep up with lessons, as well as the opportunity to present their own cultures in class. At the same time, the school also encourages its students to participate in extracurricular activities. The academy considers such endeavors just as vital to the kids' development as academics are.
