History of Palmer Trinity School

Palmer Trinity School is what resulted when the Palmer School (founded in 1972) and the Trinity Episcopal School (founded in 1981) were merged in 1991. The following year, however, in 1992, Hurricane Andrew devastated Florida and most of the school's campus was badly damaged. Nevertheless, the school survived, further expanding, becoming one of the biggest international schools in Miami. In its early years alone, the school grew from beginning with only 300 students to welcoming about 650 students. By 1999, the school had incorporated wireless laptops in its daily operations and boasted about 50 athletics teams.


What is Palmer Trinity School's Campus Like?

Palmer Trinity School has a big campus on SW 184th Street in the middle of Miami's central neighborhoods. It's near many districts, making its location strategic despite how big it is. And it is a big campus, boasting all sorts of facilities. Apart from the standard school buildings with the usual classrooms and such, the school also has a music center, separate buildings for various subjects (e.g. math, science, humanities, etc.), a fitness facility, and more. As already mentioned, the Palmer Trinity School started as a fairly small school even though it was a result of two formerly separated academic institutions merging together. Upon its founding, it only had about 300 students in total. Over time, it grew to welcome about 650 students per year, and now, the school welcomes around 800 students per year. Moreover, Palmer Trinity School boasts a diverse student body too. About 64.6% of all students are minorities, for example, and many of them come from other countries too.
