History of San Francisco Pacific Academy
The San Francisco Pacific Academy was founded in 2002, making it one of the newer international schools in
San Francisco. Though it was established decades after many other similar prominent academic institutions, the academy is still historic as one of the first Russian international schools in the country. Most of the other schools in the city are either French, German, or Italian. San Francisco Pacific Academy, on the other hand, is currently the only Russian bilingual school operating in the Bay Area today. This alone gives it a level of prestige despite how small its campus is.
What is San Francisco Pacific Academy's Campus Like?
The San Francisco Pacific Academy is located on Balboa Street, which spans various
neighborhoods in San Francisco. The street flows through the Richmond District and, unsurprisingly, Little Russia. As mentioned previously, the campus isn't that too big. It's simply a red building along Balboa Street and barely has any outdoor space. The closest thing it has to such is its yellow-painted rooftop courtyard. Despite its size, however, the academy still has most of the standard school facilities. There are big classrooms, equipped laboratories, well-stocked libraries, a massive cafeteria, and more.

The San Francisco Pacific Academy Student Body
With only one big building for its overall campus, it makes sense that the San Francisco Pacific Academy has a relatively small student body too. Currently, the school only welcomes a little over 100 students per year, including both new enrollees and those returning who have yet to graduate. Spread throughout kindergarten to grade 8, its classes are even smaller compared to other international schools in San Francisco. In fact, its student-to-teacher ratio is about 5:1. And in terms of its racial demographics, most of the students here are white, with only 3.7% of the student body made up of minority students.
What is San Francisco Pacific Academy's Curriculum?
Part of what makes the San Francisco Pacific Academy one of the most unique international schools in San Francisco—or any other city, for that matter!—is that it's a Russian bilingual school. As mentioned previously, there are barely any Russian international schools in the US. San Francisco Pacific Academy is only one of very few that still operates today and remains as prominent as ever. Nevertheless, English remains a vital factor in the school too. Students are also still taught American English, History, and the like here, similar to other primary and middle schools in the country.

How Much Does It Cost to Study at San Francisco Pacific Academy?
Is it expensive to send your kids to the San Francisco Pacific Academy? Generally speaking, yes, it is. Even more so when you take the high
living costs in San Francisco into account. The school's tuition fees range from around $13,500.00 to $15,900.00 per year. Considering that San Francisco is notoriously expensive, these prices are still high for any household in the city. But when you compare these prices to those from other international schools in San Francisco, these are actually extremely low. Hence, San Francisco Pacific Academy is the most affordable bilingual school in the city.
Where is San Francisco Pacific Academy in San Francisco?
As already mentioned, the San Francisco Pacific Academy is located on Balboa Street near the center of the city. It's specifically near the Richmond District and Little Russia, the latter of which has many locals who send their kids to school here. In many ways, Little Russia is a neighborhood within a bigger neighborhood. The district is set between Central Richmond and the rest of the Richmond district, but the community's colorful culture sets it apart from the other areas. Fortunately, both places have some of the finest
luxury homes to rent in San Francisco too, making it easy for any family to live near the school.
