Huntingdon Academy takes pride in the fact that it's a warm and happy school. The stereotypical image of an English school is that of a historic boarding school with all the rigidity and rules that come with an elite academic institution. Fortunately, Huntingdon Academy is exactly not that! Located near the Nottingham city center, this school is a warm and welcoming place where little ones are free to learn, play, and grow. Not only will your kids get a high-quality education here, but they'll also get to make wonderful memories along the way.

History of Huntingdon Academy
Huntingdon Academy is one of the first schools of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust. Both institutions were established in 2011, with the school having opened on October 1, 2011, in
Nottingham. The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, on the other hand, was founded a few months prior. It's a group of 27 academies throughout the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, all of which promote the individual growth of each student. Though it's a standard educational institution, Huntingdon Academy stands out with its unique approach to teaching and training kids to be outstanding in all fields, from academics to the arts and beyond.
What is Huntingdon Academy's Campus Like?
Huntingdon Academy is located along Alfred Street Central, right smack in the middle of the
central neighborhoods in Nottingham. Though it's not exactly in the city center, it's near enough that the campus is fairly accessible through public transport. Fortunately, the school is tucked away in a quieter corner of Alfred Street Central, maintaining some distance from the livelier parts of the city center. The campus also has fairly expansive school grounds, making it safer and more secure for a school located in the middle of a bustling metropolis.

The Huntingdon Academy Student Body
Despite how big its campus is, Huntingdon Academy has a relatively small student campus. Today, the school welcomes a little over 450 students per year, including both new enrollees and those returning who haven't graduated yet. While it's not exactly the smallest school in the city, it still has considerably fewer students than other schools in Nottingham. Some of the more prominent academic institutions in the city have around thousands of students per year, far more than the few hundred that Huntingdon Academy has.
What is Huntingdon Academy's Curriculum?
Since it's part of the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, Huntingdon Academy highlights an individual-based education for its students. This isn't to say that they don't provide group projects or allow socialization here, but this group of academies is best known for its meticulous approach in focusing more on each student's specific growth. Hence, its curriculum is tailor-made to help all students study at their own pace all while keeping up with the rest of the country. At the same time, despite its heavy focus on academics, Huntingdon Academy still encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities.
