History of Fernwood School
Though Fernwood School existed prior, the institution converted to academy status on May 1, 2011. It was also around this time that the Fernwood Academy Trust was established, which further solidified its status as one of the finest schools in
Nottingham. Over time, Fernwood School continued to grow, becoming one of Nottingham's biggest schools. In 2018, the school gained further funding which then allowed it to expand its student body to add 450 more enrollees. Today, it's one of the very few academic institutions in Nottinghamshire to have as many as 1,000 students.

Fernwood School is located on Goodwood Road in Wollaton, one of
Nottingham's central neighborhoods. It boasts a massive campus with state-of-the-art facilities, further proving its prominence within the city's scholastic scene. Thanks to how big it is, the school can afford to have a full-blown gymnasium, theater for dramatic arts, studios for art classes, and well-equipped laboratories. Out of all the schools in Nottingham, it's safe to say that Fernwood School has the most complete campus. The only difference here is that it barely has any historic buildings, which the other academic institutions have.

From what started as a fairly small school in Nottingham, Fernwood School now has one of the biggest student bodies in the city. Today, the school welcomes over 1,000 students per year, including both new enrollees and those returning who have yet to graduate. Although it's in Nottingham, Fernwood School also has a fairly diverse student body. When you break down its student demographics, you'll find that 42% of them are White, 25% of them are Asian, 12% of them are Multiracial, 4% of them are Black, and another 4% of them are other ethnicities.
