History of Atlanta International School
.Though Atlanta International School opened in 1985, it was technically established in 1984. It started as a small school of only 51 students in a rented schoolhouse in Buckhead, a residential district in
Atlanta. At the time, it only had a nursery, pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade. The school continued to grow over the years and in July of 1987, the school moved to a new campus on Long Island Drive, this time with over 190 students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade. By 2008, the Atlanta International School had expanded enough to admit as many as 900 students per year.

Atlanta International School is currently located on North Fulton Drive in the Northeastern
neighborhood of Atlanta. It boasts a massive campus with big school buildings, all the standard facilities, and ample outdoor spaces for athletics. It's one of the biggest international schools in Atlanta, more than double the size of other normal schools in the city. One of its standout facilities is the Adair Art, Science, and Design Center, one of the best spaces for creative design in the entire city. Though students mostly use the center for their school activities, the school has also opened its doors to professional creatives from time to time.

From what began as a small school of only 52 students, Atlanta International School now boasts one of the biggest student bodies in the city. Today, the school welcomes over 1,100 students per year, composed of both new enrollees and those returning who have yet to graduate. Since it's in Atlanta, it's also no surprise that the student body here is pretty diverse. 75% of all students are Asian or Pacific Islander, 40% of them are White, 13% of them are Black, 4% of them are Hispanic, 4% of them are Multiracial, and less than 1% of them are Native American.

This private educational institution already costs $29,569.00 per year from kindergarten to primary school alone, which is already pretty high for most schools in the country. By the time they reach middle school, the tuition fee increases to $32,382.00 per year. As for its senior high school, this costs about $33,756.00 per year. The senior high school also comes with a dormitory that lets students board while they study, and in turn, comes with additional fees.
