Rest assured, you'll want to be in
Paris this March 2025. The French capital is always a beautiful destination no matter the time of day, but March is an especially special time! For one thing, this is when spring arrives in the city and Paris is always at its prettiest and sweetest during this season. Catch the cherry blossoms in the parks and start dining in terrace cafes. March 2025 also has a packed schedule of exciting events you wouldn't want to miss. Superstars Lenny Kravitz and Sabrina Carpenter are performing here live, the Paris Half Marathon will take place, and the Paris Saint-Germain football team has a couple of matches in store.
International Artists Live in Paris
Let's start with Paris's packed slate of international artists performing live. Sabrina Carpenter, who was perhaps the biggest artist this past 2024, will be taking to the stage at Accor Arena from March 16 to 17, 2025. Expect her to perform some of her biggest hits, including “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” live next month. Later down the line, international sensation Lenny Kravitz will be taking over La Défense Arena on March 29. Though it's all the way in the
Paris Suburbs, it's worth taking the trouble to get here to see this music icon perform live!
Paris Saint-Germain Matches
Many would argue that you're not a true Parisian if you're not into football. Even more so if you're not a fan of Paris Saint-Germain! The city has long supported its homegrown champion football team and you'll get to see them play live this March 2025. Their first match, which is against Lille, will be on March 2nd, while their second match will be on March 16th. Both games will be at the beautiful Parc des Princes in the
16th arrondissement, which is right smack in the middle of the city. So you just know that locals will flood the stadium come match day!
Car-Free Sundays (Begins on March 2)
Paris is far from what many consider the greenest city in the world but at least they're trying. The city has long held a tradition of having car-free Sundays at different times of the year. This year, it will begin on March 2nd, the first Sunday of the month. While it's not exactly an event, per se, it's still worth noting since Parisians take it pretty seriously. Come March 2nd, you'll find that there'll be fewer vehicles in many of
Paris's central neighborhoods, even in some of its busiest streets too. Expect to either walk or ride your bike to get around during these Sundays.
Foire de Chatou (March 7 to 16)
If you're a fan of antiques like the rest of the city, you wouldn't want to miss Foire de Chatou in Ile des Impressionnistes. To be held from March 7 to 16, 2025, it's one of the best and biggest antique fairs in the French capital. Rows upon rows of stalls will feature all kinds of vintage furniture, fine art, decor, jewelry, tableware, and more. Who knows what sorts of things you might find here? Parisians are known for their love of old collectibles and preserved items, so there's more than a good chance that you'll get your hands on antiques you will never find anywhere else!
Paris Half Marathon 2025 (March 9)
Since March signals the arrival of spring, the weather will be warmer in Paris this March 2025. Hence, there will be more events outside this month. Among the most highly anticipated will be the annual Paris Half Marathon on March 9, 2025. Serving as a pre-cursor for the more iconic
Paris Marathon later this year, the race will feature as many as 40,000 participants. The 21.1-kilometer courses will span various parts of Paris, starting on Boulevard Saint-Germain on the Left Bank then going through Parc de Bercy, Bois de Vincennes, Place Felix Eboué, and more. The finish line will be on Rue de Lyon in the 12th arrondissement.
“Art Is in the Streets” in Musee d'Orsay (Begins on March 18)
One of the best parts about living or
moving to Paris is you get to go to the city's famous museums every chance you get. This March 2025, the one you need to visit is the much-beloved Musee d'Orsay. The iconic gallery will debut its new “Art Is in the Streets” exhibition this March 18, 2025. It's an entire celebration of 19th-century illustrated posters from La Belle Epoque, including works from the likes of Toulouse-Lautrec, Grasset, Bonnard, and more. Not only is it a great chance to see what art was like back in those days, but it's also a great opportunity to check out one of the
best art museums in Paris.
Spring Arrives in Paris (March 20)
Arguably the best part about being in Paris this March 2025—or any other year, for that matter!—is to see spring arrive in the city. As magical as winter in Paris is, springtime here is something else. Many would argue that spring is the the best season to see Paris since it's warmer, sunnier, it smells sweeter, and the weather is milder. This year, the seasonal change is expected to happen around March 20, 2025. As the city approaches the day, you won't help but notice that the weather will be getting warmer, the sun will be shining brighter, and the flowers will start blooming. Naturally, this is the best time to see the enchanting
cherry blossoms in Paris too.
Foire du Trone (Begins on March 22)
Any true Parisian knows that spring has truly sprung in Paris once the annual Foire du Trone begins. This year, the famous fun fair will start on March 22, 2025, at the beautiful Bois de Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement. The yearly event has been a city tradition as far back as the year 957 when a 15-year-old King Lothair established the country's first festival. Today, the fair has gotten bigger and more exciting, complete with carnival rides, cool concerts, and a flurry of food stalls. What's not to love?
DDESSINPARIS (March 26 to 30)
If the upcoming “Art Is in the Streets” exhibit in Musee d'Orsay isn't enough to satisfy the art lover in you this March 2025, wait until DDESSINPARIS in the month. The annual Paris Contemporary Drawing Fair features the finest artists working in the industry today, both local and foreign. It helps that various art galleries in Paris, the rest of France, and other countries will contribute many of their fantastic displays for all the world to see. There's no event quite like it anywhere else since it only focuses on drawing in different mediums.
Will you be in Paris this March 2025? If you are, then don't leave! The city has a lot of exciting events in store, especially since this is usually the month when spring arrives. From cool concerts to football matches, Paris will be as lively as ever this March 2025.
