And it's this particular area that the Netflix series "Flaked" is set in. Will Arnett stars as Chip, a recovering alcoholic who moved to Venice Beach to try to start a new life. But as he does so, he discovers that's not that easy. And many of the people around him aren't making it easy for him either!

And instead of a recovering alcoholic who tries to start a new life, you're instead faced with a horse-headed TV has-been who's trying to resurrect his career, Oh, and it's all in animation too! In a trippy word where animal-enthused humanoids are just regular people, this adult-oriented animated series shows both the glamour and the nitty-gritty of living and working in Tinsel Town. In fact, some have admitted that the cartoon is actually one of the most accurate depictions of Hollywood yet.

Singer-songwriter and actress Rachel Bloom created and starred in her own highly successful musical sitcom about a girl who's still hung up on her ex-boyfriend. As they say, "Love will make you do crazy things!" And in Rebecca Bunch's case, that's leaving your entire life in New York City behind to go to LA to find love and happiness.

Speaking of love-scorned women in comedy, Zooey Deschanel was the quintessential quirky girl as Jessica Day in "New Girl." After finding out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with another woman, she moves to Downtown LA and becomes the 'new girl"' in the lives of three single men. And when a wacky female middle school teacher moves in with three equally wacky guys—each with his own sets of problems—comedy gold ensues. Ultimately, however, the show is a nice look into the single life in Downtown LA. It shows a different side to the city that's less Hollywood glamour and more real-life urban living.

The devil himself escapes hell and becomes a ladies' man and man-about-town in, ironically, the "City of Angels." He opens his own nightclub, "Lux," where the name of the game is sin. However, as he indulges in his high-class lifestyle, he becomes embroiled in a murder case, eventually becoming a frequent consultant for the LAPD. It's there where he meets Chloe, a homicide detective and single mother who seemingly catches the devil's eyes (and heart).
