Now for something savoury... and juicy! On a cold rainy day, the Dutch answer to keep your spirits up is often a big plate of Stamppot. What is it, exactly? Well, it's mashed potatoes mixed in with some delectable vegetable bits and served with a might piece of sausage. Each element serves an important role. The mashed potatoes, especially when hot, provides a soft sensation to warm you up. The vegetable bits, on the other hand, enhances the flavour and makes the dish a healthy option. And the sausage? Well, a delicious piece of meat wouldn't now, would it?

While the Brits have their fish & chips, the Dutch have their Kibbeling. Both share a lot of similarities in offering up some fishy goodness. You take pieces of cod, coat them up with some nice batter, and fry them until they're golden brown. The result? Seafood perfection! Especially when you dip it into some herb-enthused mayonnaise with a small squeeze of lemon!. Now that's a tangy treat! The main difference from their English counterpart is that you don't need some chunky chips to enjoy this snack. The fish is enough, especially when fried just right!
