When they want to escape their royal duties, this is where they retreat to. Lu Suquet is arguably the most romantic, the most scenic, and probably the most cinematic neighborhood on this list. And, weirdly enough, the most family-friendly area in all of Cannes. For one thing, it used to be the center of medieval Franche apart from Paris. Only in the last few centuries did modernity catch up to the place. Still, you can find the remnants of that beautiful time here. Furthermore, it's also one of the more peaceful areas in Cannes, which is why it's practically the most suitable place within the city to raise a family.

Translated into English as "The Old Port," it still retains the laid-back coastal lifestyle of the early 20th-century. If you just want to relax in Cannes, staying here is your best and safest bet.
