Start with Aventine Hill. Your international colleagues might not know it yet, but Rome is actually made up of various hills. It's easy to get caught up with the excitement the Italian capital offers to ever actually realize it. And one of these hills is Aventine Hill. Slowly but surely, it's becoming a well-visited spot but its popularity still pales in comparison to the likes of the Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, and more. but at least here, your colleagues can enjoy a stunning view of the city, a nice fresh breeze, and lush greeneries too.

Another hilltop escape they'll likely appreciate seeing is Gianicolo, also known as Janiculum Hill. Here, it's not so much the botanical bliss that will impress your colleagues, but rather the beautiful artworks and amazing classical structures that decorate the place. A must-see within the garden ground is the Fontana d'ellAcqua Paola, a beautiful fountain that was made all the way back in the 17th-century. And, of course, the views of the "Eternal City" from this vantage point is truly magnificent. Taking them here with a picnic will surely strengthen your bond as co-workers of the same international company! And in such a setting, these friendships will prove to be important!

Don't think that just because these people are your work colleagues, doesn't mean you can't hang out with them during the weekends. In fact, they might feel even more comfortable if you invite them out for a nice day in the city at this time. And what better way to do so than to show them what local life looks like in the famous Porta Portese Flea Market. Every Sunday, Via Portuense, Via Ippolito Nievo, and Via Ettore Rolli are packed with stalls full of vintage charms, rare finds, and authentic homemade Italian treats. Your colleagues will likely never forget what they find and possibly purchase here even after their trip!

Now, how about a feast for the eyes? It's no secret that Rome is home to some very opulent landmarks and monuments. It is, after all, the capital of the country where baroque art was born. However, not all of its most grandiose and eye-catching hotspots are those seen on postcards and packed with tourists. A good example is the Quartiere Coppede. A district that's off the beaten path, it's mostly a well-kept secret among Romans. Here, your colleagues find a couple of extravagantly designed and well-sculpted buildings and structures, looking as if they're still in the Renaissance period or something.

As soon as you and your international co-workes find the free time, take them to Trastevere. It won't be long until this charming district becomes as packed as the Vatican itself. And it's sad too, considering that part of its wonder is that it's not a heavily-crowded place. But you can forgive people for rushing to see this beautiful area. Not only does it have some of the best culinary hidden gems in the city, but it's also such a romantic hotspot too. And most likely, your colleagues will enjoy eating their way through this foodie-friendly town. Surely you already have yourself as well!

Do you know what your foreign friends will likely appreciate? If you take them to an actual Roman villa. A place where's the city's rich and most prominent of the past probably lived in resplendent luxury and classic opulence. so if they're up for visiting a place like this during their free time or on the weekend, bring them to Villa Borghese. This spot looks straight out of a Renaissance novel with its classic structures overlooking lush gardens and serene ponds and lakes. No wonder many people consider it as one of the most beautiful gardens in Rome as well!

And finally, there's Villa Pamphili Park. Weirdly enough, it's located within one of Rome's most popular parks. However, it's not that heavy with tourists, particularly during weekdays. Sure, it can get busy at times, but it's not as tight and crowded as the Colosseum or the Trevi Fountain. In fact, the fountains here are more relaxing and peaceful and they're just a beautiful as the iconic monument too. For an afternoon of rest and relaxation, this is one of the best spots to go to that's still within the heart of the city.
