Old world style meets modern convenience in this newly renovated penthouse! Whether seeking a romantic get-away or planning a family vacation, our gorgeous Modernist Terrace is a completely refurnished and luxurious penthouse located in the heart of Barcelona.
The apartment is located in a building catalogued as an esthetic and historic emblem of Barcelona. Its neighborhood has even been coined the “Golden Neighborhood” since the 18th century Catalan aristocracy built their residences using the modernista style in this very district! Though our apartment is near all the tourist attractions right in downtown Barcelona, the building itself is very quiet and comfortable. The windows are constructed with double glass to obstruct noise and keep the apartment warm.
Its street is very active and joyful during the day but extremely quiet at night since the building has only nine apartments consisting of residences and commercial offices; one could even sleep with the windows open at night without being disturbed! All the tenants know each other, and the building even has a concierge during office hours.
In addition, there are no neighbors adjacent to the apartment and the floor below is an office, so the quiet comfort of the Modernist Terrace is a real treat for those who want to relax after a long day of exploring the city. Our Modernist Terrace has a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower unit, a second bathroom on the other side of the flat, a mezzanine with two Japanese beds, and a sofa that works as an extra bed.
The large and comfortable living room of the apartment surrounds the stylish dining area suitable for up to six people. The large windows in the living room allow the sunlight to pour into the apartment creating a lovely ambience. The amazing terrace also has a dining table and several chairs to lounge and sunbathe. The modern look and feel of the living room and fireplace blends beautifully with the classic style of the building that has been preserved, like the wonderful wooden floors and features throughout the apartment.

Around 1850, with the beginning of industrialisation born the L'Eixample area thata was designed by the city planner Ildefons Cerdà.
Cerdà had the floor plans of American cities as a model. Cerdà saw the streets with wide and generously extended crossings (Passeig de Gracia has six lanes), to highlight the crossings were blocks to the chamfered corners.
The blocks are all square and have a big yard, but most of today is built. From the original idea Cerdàs, there is plenty of green for the residents to provide very little remains.
1859 was the controversial development plan approved by the town council.
The middle part of L'Eixample is often called 'Quadrat d'Or', golden square, describing the elegance of this area.
