Mykonos - The Windmill

A pretty and nature-shuttered villa, this great windmill can tickle your vacation mood. This original Cycladic windmill is perched on one of the most famous sightseeing spots of the Aegean. Second in a row of five, this 200-year-old windmill is the only one to have been renovated to such an extent and to have been transformed into an intimate hideaway, at a 3 min. walk from the hustle and bustle of Mykonos town. The views from the yard are spectacular: to the west, the sunset behind the neighboring islands of Delos and Rhenia, to the north, a panorama of the mykonian labyrinth with picturesque Little Venice in the forefront.

The layout of the building is quite minimal with three levels connected with an open staircase at the edge of the circular wall. At ground level, the sitting room with two comfortable sofas and the fully equipped kitchen, built in small adjacent room, complete with a dining table for 4 prs. On the floor above, one guest room, with twin beds and an en-suite bathroom and on the top floor, the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a small en-suite bathroom with shower. There are heating and air conditioning in all the rooms and TV sets in the sitting room and master bedroom.

Outside the windmill, in the charming courtyard, there is ample space to relax and enjoy this unique spot, so full of local history, tradition, and sheer beauty.
