Description

Bright and neat two-bedroom apartments — minutes away from the waterside at both Surrey Docks and Surrey Quays. A perfect residence to experience more of London’s life by the water (and perhaps even on it if you fancy commuting to work by boat!).

The apartments are neat, bright, very tastefully furnished and situated on a quiet side street away from the busier areas of Surrey Quays. It’s an ideal escape for anyone looking for a bit of privacy whilst looking to explore an often overlooked area of London.

There are two bedrooms in the apartment, with the option for additional sleeping in the lounge via an air mattress, that will comfortably sleep two people. There are double beds on both bedrooms. All bed linen is 100% cotton and duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic.

The apartment has one bathroom, equipped with a shower and toilet and well stocked with amenities such as shower gel, shampoo and fresh towels at all times. A fully-equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, washing machine, refridgerator and utensils) and open living/dining area complete the package, with plenty of storage space in the wardrobes both in the bedrooms and the lounge.

A smart TV can be found in the living room and the property also comes with Wi-fi installed (35 Mbps).

Please note that the beds in the living room are 2 air mattresses.

Surrey Docks is a very old community and area in the city of London but, the area has undergone a major transformation over the last 30 years and is now mistakingly referred to by its signature shopping centre, Surrey Quays. A place we are sure you’ll spend no shortage of time stocking your new apartment as it’s the closest major shopping centre!

If shopping isn’t your first thought when moving into the area, you’ll find much to appreciate from the stunning dockland and waterside views, as well as some marvellous green spaces such as the Stave Hill Ecological Park. The Greenland dockside is a particularly good spot to wander around if you’re looking for a bite to eat or a place to park up and have a drink.

Speaking of the dockside, you really would be missing out if you didn’t take a water taxi over to Canary Wharf just across the water. You can, of course, get there by taking the tube from Canada Water or Surrey Quays but, we think travelling by water in this part of London in particular, is way more fun!

The closest Overground and Underground stations to the apartments are both located at Canada Water. Jubilee line services from Canada Water’s Underground station are the quickest way to reach the major railway stations of London Bridge (5 minutes) and London Waterloo (9 minutes).
There are multiple bus routes in the immediate area, including night bus services on the N381 on nearby Salter road and other routes that run at all hours closer to Surrey Quays. As mentioned, you can take the option of water travel from the nearby Surrey Quays Pier to Canary Wharf and indeed, much, much further if the mood should take you to sail up (or down) the Thames!

Access to local airports from this area is particularly good. London City Airport is reachable via Canary Wharf and changing to the Docklands Light Railway (average journey time of 30-40 minutes), whilst Gatwick airport outside the south of the city is easily reached via London Bridge Station ( average journey time of 30-40 minutes).
For anyone planning to drive in the city, you will find yourself having to pay the congestion charge of driving into the city centre of £15 per day, so think carefully about whether or not you really need a car to get around as driving in London can get very expensive.
