About twenty kilometers away are Volterra, rich in artistic and monumental testimonies ranging from the Etruscan period to the nineteenth century, San Gimignano, which with the profile of its towers stands on a hill dominating the Val d Elsa and Certaldo, of Etruscan-Roman origins, birthplace of the famous writer and poet Giovanni Boccaccio (1313-1375).
In a radius of just over 60 kilometers away are Siena, which in the splendid Piazza del Campo hosts the famous Palio twice a year, Pisa, the city of the leaning tower , and Florence, considered the place of origin of the Renaissance and recognized as the world cradle of art and architecture.
A hundred kilometers away you can finally reach splendid seaside resorts, overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast. Among these we remember Viareggio, appreciated not only for its beach but also for the liberty and decò architecture and for the Carnival, with the allegorical papier-mâché floats that parade every year along the promenade .

Chianti Resort is the ideal base for planning excursions on foot or by bicycle in an extraordinary landscape, or to try your hand at a game of golf. Within an hour s drive you can also reach the famous beaches of the Tuscan Maremma.
Chianti Resort is the ideal place to spend a romantic weekend, alternating swimming in the pool with cultural and food and wine visits. You will want to go back for one or more weeks, with family or friends.

The Chianti Resort is also home to the farm that has belonged to the same family for over 60 years and has always been managed with great respect for the environment and protection of the territory. In Fattoria La Striscia Merlot and Sangiovese vineyards, olive groves and cereals are cultivated.
The olive trees belong to some of the most typical Tuscan varieties, including Leccino, Moraiolo, Frantoio and Correggiolo, and are grown on soils rich in minerals, at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level. Extra virgin olive oil, with a very low acidity rate, is obtained from the cold pressing of hand-picked olives and can be purchased on site or ordered with home delivery. It does not undergo any filtration treatment and has a beautiful green color, golden reflections and a pleasant vegetable scent, with a taste rich in fruity notes.
The 800 hectares owned by the Chianti Resort offer countless possibilities for walks and are populated by a rich local fauna.
