Description
Inside 80 acres of green olive groves, active vineyards and beautiful oak woods, lies Feriale I, one of the several farmhouses found in the Petrolo estate. The estate is located in the middle of Tuscany’s “golden triangle” between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, and walking distance from Mercatale Valdarno, the nearest town.
Like the other farmhouses, Feriale I can be easily located courtesy of the medieval watchtower of Galatrona, which is the estate’s dominant landmark. It has a floor area of 200 square-meters and has 5 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms, 3 of which are en suite bathrooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests. It is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards with a wide and panoramic view of the other houses and the estate. It also has a nice private garden, a barbecue area and a gorgeous swimming pool, shared with Ferniale II and Vigna.
The house has a porch which serves as the entryway and can also be an ideal setting for breakfast with a full view of the vineyards. A short and easy flight of stairs to the porch and you’ll be able to access the house where you will be welcomed by a large full kitchen with a dining table made from an old wine barrel and a typical Tuscan fireplace.
Right next is the living room furnished with a comfortable sofa bed good for 2 people, arm chair, a lovely wooden centerpiece, and other native furniture and fixtures. There is also a flat screen satellite TV installed in this part of the house.
All the 5 bedrooms are accessible from the living and the adjoining kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are as follows:
Bedroom 1: queen size bed, en suite bathroom
Bedrooms 2 & 3: 2 single beds each, both with en suite bathrooms
Bedrooms 4 & 5: one with queen size bed, the other with 2 single beds, shared bathroom
OUTSIDE, you’ll find:
A shared swimming pool (6 x 12) meters wide and (1.5) meters deep
Private garden with outdoor Table and chairs
Barbecue area
Porch or Terrace with table and full view of the vineyard
Parking area
The entire house is WIFI enabled and equipped with a washing machine for laundry concerns. Firewood is supplied free of charge all year round as well. The house also has an independent heating system for cold or winter seasons.
